Terms of Service
1. Eligibility
Luwy is currently intended for people aged 13 and above. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must confirm your email address before you can sign in. If you are under 18, safe mode is always on, and a parent or guardian must approve certain features by email link before they are switched on: live voice, audio recording upload and pronunciation scoring, the camera coach, friends and challenges, and paid plans. A parent or guardian can withdraw that permission or ask us to delete the account at any time.
2. Free plan and seven-day trial
Every account starts on the free plan, which includes each month 2 full scored drills, 1 quick drill and 1 Communication Gym session, plus the translation helper. The free plan has no live voice and no pronunciation check. Your first paid plan begins with a seven-day trial of 8 full scored drills, 5 minutes of live voice and 1 Communication Gym session. A card is required at sign-up to start the trial, and the trial is available once per card. You are not charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan starts and the card is charged automatically.
3. Learning service
Luwy provides educational communication practice and AI-generated feedback. Scores and suggestions are estimates intended to support learning; they are not professional certification, employment decisions or guaranteed measures of language ability.
4. User content
You retain rights in content you submit, including scripts, presentations and saved sentences, subject to the rights needed for us and our processors to operate the requested service.
5. Safe use
Do not use Luwy to generate or practise harmful, explicit or illegal material, and do not use friends or challenge chat to harass others or share contact details. Under-18 accounts receive stricter content controls. We may restrict or close accounts that break these rules. See the Safety page and the Privacy Notice.
6. Plans, allowances and payments
Paid plans are Student, Pro and Plus, priced in Malaysian ringgit and billed monthly or yearly. Each plan includes monthly allowances of full scored drills, live voice minutes, Communication Gym sessions, AI coach and feedback actions, and translations. Allowances reset on the first day of each month (Malaysia time), do not roll over, and are shown in the app and on the plans page. Live voice sessions are limited to 10 minutes each. Bahasa Melayu and Tamil live voice use a more costly model, so those languages receive about 30% of the live voice minutes shown for English and Mandarin. Prices, taxes, renewal terms and cancellation terms are displayed before purchase. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time to stop future charges, from the cancel page or the billing portal. There are no refunds after a charge. Payments are processed by Stripe.
7. Availability
We aim for reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change as the product is developed and tested.
